The FEED program (Find, Evangelize, Engage, Discipleship) is Mission to Children’s holistic ministry framework. It empowers Christians worldwide to share the gospel and provide care for vulnerable children, ensuring both their physical and spiritual needs are met. FEED involves finding like-minded Christian partners, evangelizing through outreaches (often including food), engaging children in gospel-centered communities, and connecting leaders to discipleship training and resources.
Over a week, 1for50 provided intensive training to 45 children’s workers, 6 social workers, and 6 church leaders in Burundi. The training focused on equipping them to reach, disciple, and empower children for the Great Commission.
The training was enthusiastically received. One pastor declared, “This is a new move of God. We have no choice but to start considering children,” and his church immediately committed to supporting children’s ministries and a feeding program. Many attendees are already implementing what they learned, and parents reported feeling inspired to volunteer and improve their parenting.
The local bishop commented that the training opened eyes to how God sees children and changed hearts toward children’s ministry. He credited Daniel Kyalo (1for50) and Mission to Children for collaborating to catalyze transformation in Burundi. He believes their collaborative work lays a foundation for future growth of children’s ministries in East Africa.
Sleiman is a passionate and ambitious student with a big dream to become a famous football player. But at the start of the school year, doubt overshadowed his enthusiasm. Coming from a humble background, Sleiman believed his dream was unattainable, thinking that success in sports was reserved for those who could afford expensive training and equipment. His self-doubt often left him discouraged, but God had a plan to intervene through the encouragement of his physical education teacher. Noticing Sleiman’s talent and hesitation, the teacher stepped in to nurture his potential. During sports sessions, the teacher shared words of encouragement, reminding Sleiman that greatness doesn’t come from wealth but from hard work, perseverance, and faith. They shared inspiring stories of famous athletes who overcame similar challenges, starting with little but achieving greatness through dedication and determination. These conversations planted seeds of hope in Sleiman’s heart, leading him to reflect, “Many of the world’s best players came from humble beginnings,” he said. “What made them succeed wasn’t money, but their dedication and belief that they could achieve their dreams.” With his teacher’s support and these faith-driven conversations, Sleiman began to see his circumstances through a new lens. He practiced harder, joined every football game with renewed energy, and focused on his skills instead of his limitations. His growing determination inspired his teammates, who rallied around him with encouragement and support. At home, the transformation didn’t go unnoticed. Sleiman’s parents spoke of how their son had changed. “He talks about football all the time and practices every day at home. He’s full of hope now, and that makes us proud.” Beyond football, Sleiman’s confidence and joy brought a renewed sense of hope to his entire family. Today, Sleiman plays with passion and purpose, no longer seeing his background as a limitation but as a testimony of God’s faithfulness. He dreams bigger than ever, believing that success comes from trusting in God’s plan, hard work, and a determined spirit. “I know God has a purpose for me,” Sleiman says with confidence. “With faith, effort, and the right mindset, I can achieve my dreams.” Sleiman’s journey reminds us that Heart for Lebanon’s mission is not just about providing practical help but offering unconditional love and hope rooted in the Gospel. Through relationships built on trust and care, children like Sleiman find the courage to dream again, knowing that with God, all things are possible.
Children often thrive on routine; it provides them with a sense of security and helps them feel connected to their surroundings. During their early years, they spend most of their time in familiar spaces so stepping into new environments and meeting unfamiliar faces can be an overwhelming experience. What may seem like a small change to adults can feel overwhelming for young ones.
Wasan’s story began with resistance to change, and despite the gentle encouragement of her teachers, Wasan struggled. As the days passed, something shifted. Little by little, the cries lessened and Wasan’s fear began to fade. Through crafts, songs, and playful activities she began to see Heart for Lebanon’s Hope Center, not as a place of separation but, as a place of connection. It wasn’t just the lessons that changed her—it was the love that surrounded her. The patience, the kind words, and the smiles of her teachers gave Wasan the courage to try stepping forward into a new routine.
Two weeks later, Wasan’s transformation was clear. Her mother, who once worried that her daughter would never embrace this new life, called the teachers in astonishment. “Wasan never liked education centers, it was her nightmare,” she said. “But now, she wakes up excited to go to the Hope Center like her sisters. What happened?” The teachers explained, “Wasan realized that the people here love her, support her, and encourage her. She now enjoys time with her friends.”
Wasan’s mother, deeply moved by the change, expressed her gratitude. “I am so grateful for God and for you,” she said, overwhelmed by the joy she saw in her daughter’s eyes. Wasan, once frightened, was now excited to learn. This shift in attitude marked not just a change in her daily life, but a change in her future. Education has now become the path to success, and Wasan is walking that path with newfound courage.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”-Mark 10:14 (NIV) Through God’s boundless love and grace, Heart for Lebanon is able to offer children, like Wasan, a place of refuge and growth. By His guidance, we create a community where children feel His love and protection, enabling them to overcome their fears and embrace new opportunities for learning and development.

Ahmed’s Story
A few years ago Ahmed’s family moved to Lebanon from Syria to escape the death and destruction approaching their home. He and his siblings participate in Heart for Lebanon’s Hope on Wheels programs. They love these activities and have learned a lot of biblical stories and important lessons. Sometimes they can’t attend the meetings, so whenever the Hope on Wheels team visits them, the children share their sadness about not being able to participate due to certain conditions. During a winter visit, Ahmad said, “I can’t wait for summer! I miss the activities, and it makes me sad that I can’t go.” His mother added, “Ahmad loves the Hope on Wheels programs a lot. He always tells me what he did and learned there. He always shares that he feels happy, safe, loved, and valued there. He loves the team and often mentions how kind and caring they are.” This past summer, Ahmad started working as a mechanic to help his family with expenses. At just 12 years old, he is working instead of enjoying his childhood. “It makes me sad to see my friends getting on the bus to join the club. I wish I could go with them,” he said, feeling disappointed. His father mentioned a time when Ahmad tried to skip his work. “Ahmad wanted to miss work to join the club, so he asked his manager for a day off.” Through the activities Ahmad learned about God, distinguishing between right and wrong, and gained a lot of knowledge from the Bible.
Nada’s Story
Nada was born in Syria. With the onset of the war there, her family moved to Lebanon while she was still an infant. Six years passed and Nada got enrolled at Heart for Lebanon’s H.O.P.E. (Helping Overcome Poverty through Education) Program. After a while, she expressed her love for the center and said “I was amazed by the strong bond I could build with the teachers. I also found myself able to adapt quickly, as the general atmosphere full of love and kindness motivates and drives me to give my best in my studies. In a short period, I made significant academic progress. I benefited greatly from being at the center, and now I love everyone, even those I once thought were different from me in their thoughts and behaviors. In contrast, now, I accept everyone’s ideas without exception.” She added, “I love the lessons where we learn about biblical figures, and one of the stories that captivated me was the story of Samson, where I saw God’s boundless love for us as humans. Despite all of Samson’s mistakes in his life, when he repented, returned to God, and prayed a prayer of repentance, God did not close the door in his face. Instead, He opened His arms to him, giving him all mercy, forgiveness, and kindness. Academically, I love the subject of geography, through which we learn more about the planet we live on.” She concluded by saying, “The school is my second home, and my classmates are like siblings to me. We rejoice together, play, and laugh, creating an aura of positivity. In school, I learned to have a sense of responsibility, I learned discipline, love, and kindness, and I learned to distinguish right from wrong. And finally, I now see in every teacher a mother who gives from her heart without limits.” We believe as we witnessed from the Bible, that God has a plan for every person, and He moves mountains and does great things for just saving the spirit of one single person, and through all the progress that we witness in Nada, we can say that God did a lot for her to learn His words.
