And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

I am writing to request prayer and financial support for a pretty epic opportunity that rose from my recent time in Kenya.

I try to do this very rarely, but I seem to be a prompted to specifically ask for this event which is expected to be a significant catalyst for three counties in Western Kenya.

The team of trainers and collaborative ministries involved in the Bungoma training event, prompted the Bungoma pastor collaborative to engage the collaboratives from the larger Eldoret area and the Kitale area to host a collaborative training event in Eldoret in mid-September, 2025. The goal is to train Healthy Church Dynamics to 300 leaders from a multitude of denominations and movements. The combined group represents over 200 churches who can bring participants to strengthen their ministries inside the churches and the churches as a whole. Consequently, evangelism, and discipleship will happen at a new level. This type of event is generally a springboard for more events with the other tracks, and for an explosion of revitalized churches and new churches. It also usually fuels significant other collaborations as the participants gather for three days.

We are blessed to have a strong contingent of volunteer certified trainers, master trainers and senior master trainers in the area. We also have a good reputation and following. About 25-30% of the leaders of these churches have experienced one of our other tracks at some point. So we are poised to provide this event and to follow up with more.

The concern for prayer is finances as you might guess. This event was not in the World Zone’s budget. We need approximately $3,000 for DCPI’s portion of the costs to provide the event. This is primarily for printing the materials. Doing the math, that is $10.00 to train someone over three days. And we only ask the participants to contribute the equivalent of $4.00 to cover their food costs.

The funds will also be allocated toward a matching donation that DCPI has received for the other events that are waiting to happen in the Africa East and South World Zone. Up to $25,000 received in the next 6 weeks will be doubled by this matching donation. Thus, the $3,000 (or more) that God prompts people to provide for this event will provide $3,000 (or more) for similar trainings in one of 31 eastern and southern countries, such as follow up trainings for this area’s explosion of the gospel.

DCPI’s principle # 2 – The Power Principle, says. “Prayer is the indispensable source of God’s power and wisdom in each phase of church planting.”  Please pray for the funds tor DCPI to provide this event. Please pray for the rest of the logistics as the local team “prayerfully plans” (Principle #3 – the Nehemiah Principle) for the event and for the follow up.

God bless,
Jim
