The FEED program (Find, Evangelize, Engage, Discipleship) is Mission to Children’s holistic ministry framework. It empowers Christians worldwide to share the gospel and provide care for vulnerable children, ensuring both their physical and spiritual needs are met. FEED involves finding like-minded Christian partners, evangelizing through outreaches (often including food), engaging children in gospel-centered communities, and connecting leaders to discipleship training and resources.

Over a week, 1for50 provided intensive training to 45 children’s workers, 6 social workers, and 6 church leaders in Burundi. The training focused on equipping them to reach, disciple, and empower children for the Great Commission.

The training was enthusiastically received. One pastor declared, “This is a new move of God. We have no choice but to start considering children,” and his church immediately committed to supporting children’s ministries and a feeding program. Many attendees are already implementing what they learned, and parents reported feeling inspired to volunteer and improve their parenting.

The local bishop commented that the training opened eyes to how God sees children and changed hearts toward children’s ministry. He credited Daniel Kyalo (1for50) and Mission to Children for collaborating to catalyze transformation in Burundi. He believes their collaborative work lays a foundation for future growth of children’s ministries in East Africa.
