Last Thursday evening we had such a wonderful Spirit-led evening!!!! Thanks again to our wonderful Hosts Eric and Tera Bezko, Tera wasn’t feeling well and is waiting on some testing so please keep her lifted up in our prayers. Of course, we can’t forget our favorite greeter Ziva. They truly do live out their Kingdom Callings with Tera the Founder and leading Finding Freedom International www.findingfreedomint.org and runs Commercial Design Solutions www.commercialds.com , no wonder she has been a little run down LOL. Eric is not only an amazing host and Cook, he is also one of the best connectors for the Kingdom and one of the Lord’s Generals as a voice for GOD’s abused kids that HE loves so much. Jason Reed- who recently went through the Master’s program, (which will be mentioned several times, so here is the link to refer to www.mastersprogram.org) with me and has become an amazing friend and is a true GOD’s Man in every way. He and his wife Amiee have a huge passion for at-risk youth and have been working with both Strong Families and Safe Families. Scott Kirk – Dynamic Church Planting International www.dcpi.org trains leaders to plant churches, and train other leaders, 30 years, 185 countries. Please pray for the persecution of our Indian, Pakistani, and other Middle Eastern brothers and sisters. Many have been jailed and some have been killed
Jim Hogan – One of the first teams that helped create the above-mentioned Masters Program with our dear friend and mentor to so many of us, Bob Shank. Co-Founded with his wife Debbie, Standing Stone Ministry; Pastoring Pastors, mentoring pastor couples to their full potential in God’s work, shepherds over 300 in the field and retreats, and a newly released book, “What Do You Want to be when You grow up?” The Journey from Doing to Being. The 3 young God’s men that joined us were a straight gift from above and all have special anointings and Kingdom Callings. Cade, Matthew, and Justin, all have such a thirst for serving in God’s Kingdom. What an encouraging inspiration.
Matthew Pentagrass- Another one of the inspiring stories of the evening, he is working at Marshall Redick one of the nations leading Real Estate Investment firms www.marshallreddick.com and is very much seeking his Kingdom Calling and next Kingdom Assignment.
Justin Watson – Finishing up at Biola University and working part-time at Foundation Risk Partners www.foundationrp.com very involved in SWAT Students with a testimony to help spread the gospel. We met Justin through Bob Curtis who runs the Biola mentorship program and has been a very impactful part of the coalition, bringing on many of our next generation of Kingdom Leaders. On a side note, Bob and Jim are working on Utilizing Jim’s new book “What Do You Want to be When You Grow Up?” Throughout the entire university and its graduates.
Cade Anderson – Also with Foundation Risk Partners, is one of their new leaders and a recent graduate from Biola. He has recently been to Uganda on a mission trip that has kicked off his passion for serving in God’s Kingdom. He is also working with Bob Curtis and his team.
Bruce Bartolomeo – Has passions for anti-human trafficking, helping the homelessness issues, and is mentoring several young men through discipleship and life. He is on OC Barnabas’s Board, www.barnabasgroup.org , and a retired general contractor. A True model of a God’s Man for all of us that has been blessed to know him over the Years.
Keith Neigenfind – Keith is with Pocket Testament League and brought the group’s newest teammate Patrick Coughlin who has been helping raise capital for several ministries over the years and now is doing it for the league .www.ptl.org; over 20 million gospels in over 30 Languages distributed, to provide supplemental materials for other ministries to spread the word, the gospel of John, in Puerto Rico, Italy, Moldova, Ghana, to name a few and is recently partnering with African Enterprise International www.aeint.org which is led by one of our dear friends and partner to the coalition Stephen Mbogo to spread throughout Zambia and the rest of Africa,
Brandon Hendriks – Every Generation Ministries, children’s discipleship of children,(found that the models of education or entertainment did not give them the results they wanted) they now partner with churches to network with one another, 500,000 kids/year, now in the US “You need to be a disciple to make a disciple” www.egmworld.org
John Ansor – The founder of Passion Life www.passionlife.org, rescue the unborn, world evangelism to help churches navigate the difficult topic of abortion, to equip churches to rescue mothers and couples to bring them to the Lord, using God’s will and God’s word, help Pastors to lead well on this issue. His daughter in China led him to pastor in the underground church, working in countries to reduce infanticide with a biblical pro-life stance.
4 questions: 1. What does the Bible say about human life, including life in the womb? 2. What does the Bible say about shedding innocent blood, including abortion? 3. How do we bring the grace of the gospel to the guilt and grief of abortion? 4. What does God call us to do to stop the shedding of innocent blood – and what examples can we follow? The rate of abortion has declined in Cuba since Passion Life has been there.
Tammy DeArmas – Also with Passion Life; Mission Advance, and alternative pregnancy centers gave her testimony which is a real reminder of how our Lord utilizes some of our pain and suffering seasons to transform the lives of others, which HE is doing to thousands through Tammy.
Bill Erickson; Commercial Real Estate for many years here in OC, had some great nuggets for us “Remember your Creator in your youth” compound your impact. “Ability is less important than Availability” which Michelle reminded us again towards the end of the evening and seemed to be what the theme was throughout. What are your talents that He can use that are unique to you? Bill and Bruce went through The Masters Program from 2006-2009 together and have remained friends and are both very active in The Barnabas Group. Lynda Barraca-Howard with her Husband Walter “Thanks for your service” – With Kingdom Builders International Ministries shared with us that Jayme her daughter and she founded this ministry simply saying Yes to His request, walking out on faith and not by sight. Work in Kenya with the Pokot Tribe in Baringo County, In our 2 years we have built 9 churches, 2 of which house schools for their communities, impacting over 100 children, paid tuition for HS girls to escape FGM for over 20 girls impacted so far, provided instruction and materials to dig harvesting pans and plant vegetable gardens. Provided over 600 water filters to improve their health along with medical missions providing needed medical care and finding alternative ways to collect water. Our goals for this year are to build more classrooms, a mission center, and a rescue center along with working with the government to drill wells. Scott Jackson – Real Estate Lawyer serving thousands for 25 years, “hand up, not hand out” One of his many kingdom assignments over the years has been to work with Habitat for Humanity www.habitat.org Scott is also very active with The Barnabas Group as many of us are. Curtis and Michelle Drever- Mission’s Director for Love Irvine www.loveirvine.org and very active with Barnabas. They shared seems the world has been brought to Irvine, a very diverse community now Ester 4:14 brings unity to the church, seeks peace and prosperity, flips the view of churches to a positive one in the city, unites the church to serve the city.
Also a big shout out to my best friend and bride Gina, she wasn’t able to attend as she was pouring GOD’s love into several broken and abused in every way, women at Vera’s House, one of the several programs supported by one of Finding Freedom’s local partners Northeast of The Well www.northeastofthewell.org way to go honey you simply AMAZE ME.
There were so many more spirit-led connections and discussions, it is clear the real Hero of the group this fabulous evening was our dear friend and leader our HOLY SPIRIT. May we all continue to be led and encouraged by this amazing friend.
